Born Enetimi Alfred Odon on 29, November 1977, Timaya, a native of Odi in Bayelsa is a dancehall/afro pop singer who broke out in 2006 with the release of his confessional debut album, True story. Timaya has enjoyed a successful career as one of Nigeria’s biggest dance hall artistes, churning out hit after heat across the years. His breakout single produced by K-Solo was an account of the genocide committed by men of the Nigerian army on his hometown.
Aside from his music, Timaya is just as famous for the numerous controversies he manages to get himself embroiled in.
