Lil Kesh has been on the rise since he launched his career in 2014 with the sensationally chart topping Shoki.
Not much was known about the rapper before then, even though, his debut single Lyrically had dropped a few weeks earlier. We don’t have a lot of context on his wordplay or where he gets his wit and Yoruba inspired grime, but we know he once stepped up to the challenge of a 13 year old rapper on national TV!
Last year, Lil Kesh was a guest star on NTA2’s ‘Hanging Out’ with a 13 year old rapper who simply referred to himself as Yung Tizzy. Sitting beside the former YBNL soldier must have sparked the need for him to impress as he was quick to spit bars above his years upon the host’s demand.
Lil Kesh took this as a challenge and stepped up to defend his honour. The battle could have gone on but between air time and lack of words, the word exchange did not go on longer- but with Yung Tizzy having this last word advantage, we had to automatically crown him winner of the round.
