That Milli is moving past his troubles with his former record label Chocolate City is actually an understatement to the series of calculated moves the rapper and singer has been taking to make sure that his brand survives all the roadblocks that have held him back in the not too recent past.
After unveiling the trailer for his Unlooking single released last week, the singer collaborated with fans and his Upnext records team to set up a private screening for the full video yesterday, 12th of June.
The short film which slightly scrapes the 8-minute mark is rendered in a goth greyscale. It opens with a cinematic monologue by voiced by Milli where he sums up all of his past and present struggles into a noir-esque narrative about an unknown man on a journey to find himself.
Though the screening didn’t start until a few minutes past eleven o’ clock, fans stayed around till the movie began and Milli rewarded them with a short performance flanked by Zambian producer and rapper Patrick Lee.
Milli revealed on his Twitter page Monday that himself and Patrick Lee have worked together to record an upcoming EP. Though the singer didn’t give any specific release date, the chemistry he has with Patrick Lee on stage, if anything, is proof we can expect the best from both artistes.
The full video for Milli’s Unlooking you may find on the internet may only redirect to a private YouTube page. According to his management, the full video will be publicly available for fan download soon. However, if you can’t wait to get your hands on the full clip as it is, you can quickly download it from this link.
