Sounds.ng Top40: Olamide’s latest single, ”Konkobility’ makes a promising start

After barely a week at the top of the charts, Mayorkun’s Eleko has been knocked to second place by Mama, thanks to the growing buzz around Kiss Daniel’s New Era album. Phyno and Olamide also garner enough momentum to move to third place from a previous ninth spot showing.

Reekado Banks, takes advantage of critical acclaim from his Standard single to push up the charts while Falz’ Bhad, Baddo, Baddest slips in next, dropping two places to land at the 5th position.

We are celebrating new entries as well as the re-emergence of old entries this week and so Kiss Daniel’s Good Time resurfaces at the 33rd spot with Korrede Bello’s One and Only coming in also at the 35th spot. Tiwa Savage and Dr.Sid’s If I Start To Talk hits a peak spot of 19th, followed by Davido Music Worldwide’s Back2Back at the 20th spot. Other new entries include Olamide’s Konkobility, Yemi Alade’s Kom Kom and D’banj’s Breaking News.

We’re cleaning out our closet of old hits from late 2015/early 2016. Aramide’s Love Me featuring Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh and Patoranking’s Is It Because I Love You, YCEE’s Omo Alhaji , Koker’s Kolewerk , Tiwa Savage’s Standing Ovation featuring Olamide and Rayce’s Wetin Dey feat Davido were all shuffled out.
