Baba Dee has been in the music scene spanning a career over a decade. His brand of music is reggae/dancehall and he has at many times blessed us with major hits that topped charts, brought him fame and won him awards.
Today, we take a journey down memory lane to bring you 5 of the very best that the Naija Ninja had to offer.
- 1. Shorty: This was one of the biggest dancehall tune some years back when it was released, Baba Dee had gone on a sojourn to Sweden and was missing in action for quite a while, then as he planned his return to the country, he recorded this tune and shot a lovely video for it in Sweden, this became an instant hit and won him some awards.
- Sodi E – Easily his breakthrough single, Sodi E paraded brother Sound Sultan and 2face Idibia, It was one jam that was major on the dancefloors in the early 2000s.
- Governor’ Daughter: off his debut album, Baba Dee tells a story of the lover boy who dated the Governors Daughter, he was indeed ready to go to Kirikiri for love.
- Gum Body (Ye ma sa): This was released sometime in 2011. It featured singer Henry Knight and it is one song that I really like, a dancehall love tune that is well delivered and has a sweet melody.
5 Go Down: Released in 2012, Baba Dee worked with talented producer, Del B to drop this banging tune that definitely set the dance floor on fire and had ladies across the nation going down to the rhythm.
Noteworthy that Baba Dee has released 7 studio albums.
