Lagbaja: For the masked one, music has taken him to places where popularity would be a problem if the people know the man behind the mask. Being active since the early 90s, his motherland club which was established in 1997 was a weekend haven for a long time and the Omo baba muko muko who is known for his instrumentals and politically conscious songs has grown to international fame winning many awards along the way.
Femi Kuti: Legendary Afro beat act and son of late Fela Anikulapo Kuti is as big as they come, multi instrumentalist but notably known for his gift with the saxophone, four times grammy nominated, multi award winning, platinum selling albums and has toured worldwide on several occasions with his Positive Force band, he still performs at the Shrine regularly where he blesses his fans with the beauty of his sax and is generally regarded as the biggest Nigerian musical export today.
Mike Aremu: one of the pioneer Saxophonists in the land, has albums in the market with his debut Dance which had the monster hit single ‘Oluwa Ku Ise’, he has since gone on to release more albums with ‘Coat of many colours’ being the latest, he has also been able to infuse the new pop sound in his style of music, runs his own concert called Sax Appeal and has made quite a success of it. He has won numerous awards both locally and internationally.
Yemi Sax: Producer, Record label owner and Songwriter Yemi Adeosun a.k.a Yemi Sax is one who has made a successful living with the Saxophone, started from doing covers of popular songs to doing his own music, which has earned him fame, money and international acclaim.
Kunle Ajayi: Gospel Singer, Songwriter, Saxophonist and Director of Music at RCCG is another of the leading lights in the industry and has songs like ‘I lift your name on high’, ‘African Praise Medley’.
