A brief run through of all international collaborations we predict for Wizkid’s upcoming album

Wizkid has been on a roll since the start of 2016 and there is literally no stopping him at this point. Between touring the World for himself, then Europe alongside Chris Brown and landing a Billboard #1 thanks to Drake’s One Dance, 2016 cannot get anymore year of the Starboy than it has already become.

With pressure from new and old fans demanding for an album mounting on Wiz, the singer has likewise repeatedly announced putting finishing touches to his next record and we have a couple guesses on the who is whos that may appear on the LP.

French Montana

French has showed his love for Nigerian music since his features on Ice Prince’s Fire Of Zamani album. A recent clip of the rapper and Wiz in the studio surfaced with a Wizkid-esque beat with heavy drums playing in the background. We haven’t an official feature announcement yet, but we can’t rule it out.

Swizz Beats

Swizz Beats has been into Afropop for a while now and coupled with wife, Alicia Keys inviting Wiz for a concert in New York last year, we know they have an active communication channel. But if you’re still in doubt, the caption on the Instagram post above should help clear all of that up.

Justine Skye

We can boldly admit, we can’t connect the dots between Wizkid and Roc Nation signed R&B singer Justine Skye. But the singer rose to fame after a cover of Drake’s Headlines off his 2011 Take Care album. Our best guess is, this may be a case of mutual favourites.

Diplo of Major Lazer

While Major Lazer as a DJ-ing group has already worked with Wizkid, Diplo a member of the same group has teased a possible project in the past. Who knows? We may be getting a taste of that on Wizzy’s next album.

Chris Brown

Perhaps the biggest problem anyone has had with Chris Brown and Wizkid’s buddy buddy bromance over the last four years is their unreleased African Bad Girl single premiered last year with no feasible proposed release date. We won’t be surprised if Wiz is saving the best for the album
