PEPENAZI asks you to take ONE FOR THE ROAD

pepenazi-one-for-the-roadYesterday, a lot of new music got released on blogs and online platforms. Rarely a day passes without one new material or the other.

Of course, Praiz dropped his cover for Hello, Rooftop Mcs’ very own So Kleva hit us with In the Up and Skales asked us to Mujo.

But the song that caught my attention, was Pepenazi’s One for the Road produced by the brilliant Mr Pheelz. Now I was curious to hear what Pepenazi had to offer, following the success of his Illegal joint which featured Olamide and has gained a fair level of success on the streets. Will this be better? Will he be able to maintain the standard of his last single?

Now from the very first second, the beat hits you. What else do you expect when its Pheelz at work? It is a groovy tune and is one that will go down well at beer parlors or palm wine tables, as he echoed ‘My table don dey empty, gimme another round’. He then goes one to deliver his verses whilst running back to the hook after almost every eight lines.

Lyrics wise, the verses are quite shallow but I guess no one with a drink in his hand will bother about that. This is a good song that should hit the clubs, quite radio friendly also and should get many spins, this tune helps to add to Pepenazi’s growing presence as a hitmaker in the industry.
