The BET Awards is holding today, but when can you watch it on your TV?

Before you say more, we know the agony. We are aware of the pain of not knowing when your favourite award show will air on TV, even when you know the exact calendar date the event itself will hold.

As we all know, the BET Awards will be holding in Los Angeles, California today 26th of June 2016.

The show will be hosted by Blackish lead actors Tracey Elis Ross and Anthony Anderson and we expect it to be a bang for the buck.

However, due to the lack of a syndicated programming that runs through BET Africa, we may have to wait a little while before we get even as much as a preview of the Award ceremony in Nigeria.

So when do you get to catch the BET Awards on TV?

The award ceremony will air on the channel’s African arm via DSTV’s Channel 129 on Tuesday, 7:00pm Central African Time which is 8:00pm in Nigerian time. However, you can catch the live streaming of the red carpet which begins at 5:00pm EDT which is about 9:00pm Nigerian in Nigerian time.

This year’s BET Awards is expected to feature a tribute to recently deceased singer Prince. At the moment Sheila E, Prince’ rumored longtime muse, The Roots, D’Angelo and Janelle Monáe have been speculated to be on the set list for the tribute. Though many more acts have been billed to perform, singers Usher, Future, Alicia Keys, Bryson Tiller are expected to grace the BET Awards stage.
