We heard Seyi Shay doesn’t know what ‘EP’ means, here’s a list of other things she might not know

Though we may not seem like it, but we actually love Seyi Shay. She makes up one third of the Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade female powerhouse trifecta (yes, that is actually a thing, look it up). So our reaction to her public fails are not one of amusement but of shock and hide-your-face-in-shame type embarrassments. And even worse, she appears to be on a roll.

First it was this ridiculousness

But we give her a free pass on this because let’s be honest , we will probably all scamper  for safety if we ever see PulseTV’s Chuey Chu and his cameras coming our way.

Sadly while we nursed our unhealed wounds, Seyi Shay was on caught on an interview with HipTV and this happened.

Vlogger

What was she thinking? Seriously how many things can the acronym EP mean to a moderately successful 21st century recording artiste in 2016 for God’s sake? How entirely has she not run into the words ‘Extended Play’ anywhere in her entire 30 years on earth? Was she reading rocks while her mates were reading books?

We have so many questions, so we decided to use our good friend Google to educate her first to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

So here are a couple music related things and their meanings so she doesn’t cause us anguish when she is put on the spot like that again.

EP:/i:pi/
Noun An EP (short for extended play) is a musical recording that contains more music than a single, but is usually too short to qualify as a full studio album or LP.

Long Playing: /ɛlpi/

octave: /ˈɒktɪv/
Noun a series of eight notes occupying the interval between (and including) two notes, one having twice or half the frequency of vibration of the other.

Key: /kiː/

Music:/ˈmjuːzɪk/
Nounvocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion

Education:/ɛdjʊˈkeɪʃ(ə)n/
Noun the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university.

If all else fails, “I-don’t-know should always suffice. Nobody gets uncool points for being clueless (not unless your name is Ebele) but looking stupid is unacceptable. And for the love of God Seyi, T-W-O is not pronounced Tuwo.

Fix up girl. Fix up.
